While searching for ways to earn online, one of the things I discovered is Affiliate Marketing.
What is Affiliate Marketing?
A search on Google will tell you that Affiliate Marketing is "a marketing arrangement by which an online retailer pays a commission to an external website for traffic or sales generated from its referrals." In this program, the online retailer allows people to sign up as an affiliate who will be the ones to promote the link of the retailer. When a user clicks on the affiliate's link and purchases the retailer's item from that link, the affiliate will get a percentage of that sale.
As an affiliate, you don't have to create a product or maintain an inventory. All you have to do is promote your affiliate link.
Affiliate marketing is a good way to have passive income. If you have a website, you can post your affiliate links there and also promote them on your social media accounts (just check the company's guidelines on what's allowed and not regarding promoting affiliate links).
I have joined a few affiliate programs recently and I have earned from some as well. Here are a few websites where I have enrolled in their affiliate marketing programs:
- Lazada Philippines
- Pangalan.com (Philippines)
- TravelBook.ph (Philippines)
- CreativeMarket.com (International)
- RU Affiliates (Philippines)
I'll talk about them one-by-one in my succeeding posts.
